Test the sensor eyes by connecting them to short wires directly at the motor unit. Photo eyes or safety sensors are mounted to the track on either side of the garage door about 6 inches up from the ground. The photo eyes send an infrared beam across the bottom of your garage door opening if that beam is broken the door will reverse. Make sure the eye is aligned with the reflector at the opposite side or else the door won t close properly.

If the door closes and reverses it is traveling too far and you should decrease the travel. If the door doesn t close and the lights don t blink replace the safety sensors. It goes partway down reverses direction and goes back up again.
